Our Story

Roofing and exteriors, handled by one contractor

Hakim Roofing & Exteriors is a Greater Toronto Area contractor with 5+ years of experience and more than 1,000 satisfied customers across the GTA. The idea is simple: instead of hiring one company for the roof, another for the eavestroughs and a third for the soffit and fascia, you work with one contractor that treats the whole roof edge as a single system — and pays attention to the small details that keep the big problems from starting.

Our Promise of Quality

Diagnose the cause, not just the symptom

A lot of the exterior work we redo was done in a hurry the first time. We take the time to find out why something is failing, fix that, and finish the job clean — so it holds.

  • 1. Inspect & diagnose. We get on the roof, check the whole edge, and trace problems back to the real source.
  • 2. Build & execute. Proper materials, installed to spec, with the flashing and drainage details done right.
  • 3. Review & clean up. We walk the finished work with you and do a full magnetic nail sweep before we leave.

Questions & Answers

Answers to what GTA homeowners ask us most

Do you provide free quotes and roof inspections?

Yes. Every quote starts with an on-site inspection at no cost and no obligation. We get up on the roof, check the shingles, flashing, eavestroughs, soffit and fascia, and look for the things that usually get missed — worn valleys, lifting nails, blocked drainage, soft decking. Then you get a written estimate that spells out exactly what we found, what needs doing now, what can wait, and what it costs. No pressure to sign anything on the spot.

How do I know whether my roof needs a repair or a full replacement?

It comes down to age, the extent of the damage, and whether the problem is isolated or spread across the roof. A single leak around a vent or a section of storm-damaged shingles is usually a repair. Widespread curling, granule loss, multiple leak points, or a roof already past twenty years is usually telling you it's time to replace. We'll give you an honest read either way — if a repair will genuinely buy you several more good years, we'll say so.

How long does a typical roof replacement take?

Most Greater Toronto Area homes are a one to two day job once we're on site. We strip the old roofing down to the deck, replace any rotten or delaminated plywood, lay new underlayment and ice-and-water shield, then install the new shingles, flashing and vents. We protect your landscaping and driveway, and we do a full magnetic nail sweep and clean-up before we leave.

Can you handle the eavestroughs, soffit and fascia at the same time as the roof?

Yes — that's the whole point of doing roofing and exteriors together. The roof edge, drip edge, eavestroughs, soffit and fascia are one connected system, and it's far cheaper and cleaner to address them in one visit than to bring back separate trades later. If we're already replacing your roof, that's the ideal time to sort out drainage and trim so the finished result is tight all the way around.

What areas do you serve?

We work across the Greater Toronto Area — Toronto, North York, Scarborough, Etobicoke, Vaughan, Markham, Richmond Hill, Mississauga, Brampton and the surrounding communities. If you're not sure whether you're in our range, send us your address and we'll let you know.

How often should eavestroughs be cleaned?

Twice a year for most GTA homes — once in late spring after the seeds and blossoms drop, and once in late fall after the leaves come down. Homes with mature maples or overhanging trees often need the fall clean-out done twice. Staying on that rhythm keeps water moving away from your foundation and stops the slow damage that clogged troughs cause to fascia, soffit and siding.
