Even a perfectly installed eavestrough system fails if it's full of leaves. Cleaning it out twice a year — once in late spring, once in late fall — is the single cheapest thing you can do to protect your roof edge, your foundation and your siding. It's also the service we do most.

The work itself

We hand-clean the full length of the trough, bag the debris rather than dropping it on your beds, then flush every downspout to confirm it runs clear. While we're up there we check the things a cleaning is a chance to catch: loose or sagging hangers, split seams, separated downspout elbows, rusted spikes, and early rot in the fascia behind the trough. You get a quick note on anything worth watching, with no pressure to book more work.

Problems this solves

A clogged eavestrough doesn't just overflow in a storm — it holds standing water and wet debris against the fascia board until it rots, freezes into ice dams that force meltwater under the shingles, and sends sheet water straight down your foundation wall. Homeowners with mature maples often find the fall clean-out isn't enough on its own. Staying on a spring-and-fall schedule keeps all of that from ever starting.

Why Choose Us

Why choose Hakim Roofing & Exteriors

For busy homeowners who just want it handled, we keep it simple: we come out, clean it properly, flush the downspouts, tidy up, and tell you if anything needs attention. And because the same company knows your roof and trim, if the check does turn up a problem, there's no second contractor to chase.
